FAQ

FAQ

  • What is an Acropark?

A park in the forest, equipped with cables and platforms installed on trees.

  • Is it only for adults?
No, there are different courses for all ages (from 2 to 70 years old) and various agility levels. On the park's page, the courses are explained in detail (click here).
  • Is specific clothing required?
Sporty clothing, sneakers, or hiking boots are sufficient. The use of protective gloves is recommended. At the park, you can purchase cotton-coated gloves for a few euros. Mountain bike gloves are also suitable, so feel free to bring your own if you have them.
  • Isn't it dangerous?
No! The main risk of adventure courses is eliminated with the use of a continuous lifeline, a steel cable to which you are attached with a carabiner that remains connected from the start to the end of the course. Only rescuers can open it if necessary, using a special key. It is not possible to completely prevent minor incidents, the same as those that can happen during any activity involving movement, being outdoors, and interacting with others.
  • How long does the adventure last?
The basic ticket is valid for 2 hours. The duration of the courses depends on your skills; completing a course can take anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes.
  • Do those who don't go on the courses have to pay? And what can they do?

At the Roana park, the area with the aerial courses is fenced, and for each minor participant, ONE accompanying adult is allowed for free to follow from the ground (additional companions can take turns). Those who do not enter this area of the park can go for walks, relax on our benches and tables for a picnic, and watch participants tackle the outermost courses, including the zip line that crosses the lake. We must enforce this limitation because the forest floor is suffering from excessive trampling, which weakens the trees already affected by various threats. Outside the course area, we also offer free access to restrooms, a climbing wall, and a beach volleyball court.

  • Are there weight limits for accessing the courses?

Yes, the maximum weight is 100 kg. Participants weighing over 80 kg must inform the staff to assess the potential need for an upgraded harness and any limitations along the courses to ensure the safety factor remains unchanged. There is a 40 kg limit for harnesses designed for children aged 2-5 years (KID courses). The zip line crossing the Roana lake is only accessible to those weighing at least 50 kg.

  • Can I enter with a dog?
Yes, of course, as long as the dog is on a leash and care is taken not to obstruct activity or passage areas. The owner must ensure the dog is equipped with a muzzle if required due to its temperament or breed.
  • Which days are you open and what are your hours?
The calendar for the Roana park is available at the following page: https://www.acropark.it/parchi/laghetto-di-roana.html.
The hours listed on Google business pages may be incorrect due to Google's automated systems and the possibility of third parties suggesting inaccurate changes.
Unexpected closures may occur due to severe and persistent bad weather. Since it is not always possible to update all web pages promptly, it is recommended to call the park before leaving. Acropark Laghetto di Roana can be reached at 346 399 1144, but only during park opening hours. If there is no answer and the line is not already busy with another call, it is likely that the park is closed.
  • Are you open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with continuous hours?

The parks are open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The ticket office closes from 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM, but those already inside can continue their activities, with an adequate number of supervisors and rescuers on duty. At 1:40 PM, the ticket office reopens, and instruction courses for new customers resume. The ticket office closes again at 5:00 PM. From 5:20 PM onwards, access to the courses is progressively closed to ensure that everyone is on the ground by 6:00 PM, when the park closes.

  • How can your tickets be purchased?

At the park, by paying in cash or using a POS. Alternatively, online on our website using PayPal.

  • Is it better to purchase online?
    There are 3 advantages:
    • You will have 12 months to use the ticket.
    • You will have the privilege of skipping the line at the park's ticket office.
    • You can send the ticket as a gift via email to a recipient of your choice.
Since 15/06/21, we sell only high-season tickets online to allow their use on any open day.
If used on a low-season day, you will be entitled to ONE EXTRA HOUR.

Please note that discounts or special agreements cannot be applied to online purchases, except for promotional campaigns explicitly stating this possibility from the promoting entity.
  • Is it possible to extend the expiration date of an Acropark ticket?
Those who purchase or receive an Acropark ticket as a gift have one calendar year to use it. The validity period starts from the date of purchase. We believe this is a reasonable duration, especially since the ticket is not personal and can be transferred to others. However, there are particular situations where extensions have been granted in the past: park closures (e.g., due to a pandemic) or personal reasons (e.g., temporary summer disability). The management will evaluate whether to authorize and determine the extension duration upon receiving a request sent at least 15 days before the ticket's expiration to [email protected]. The request must include:
    • Ticket number
    • Requested extension period
    • Reason and documentary proof explaining why it was impossible to use the ticket within the valid period.
  • Are you open even in bad weather?

We usually open even with less-than-promising forecasts. With light rain, the activity can continue under the trees. During summer downpours (usually in the afternoon), we pause for a while and wait for them to pass. In case of thunderstorms with lightning, we must close and move away for obvious safety reasons. If the weather forecast indicates with considerable certainty (at least a 70% chance) a widespread and prolonged disturbance (lasting all day or almost), we do not open at all.

  • Is a ticket refund available?
No, we do not refund issued tickets. However, there are certain cases where we authorize their reuse within the following 12 months:
    • If, within the first three sections of the high ropes course, you discover that you have a fear of heights or otherwise feel unable to continue.
    • If the park must close early (e.g., due to bad weather) and you have not yet finished your allotted time.
The decision to close or suspend activities due to bad weather is made by the park’s designated team leader for the day and is final.
  • I'm already experienced; can I skip the briefing and go straight to the high ropes courses?

If you have already been an Acropark customer during the current season, you can ask the instructors to skip the video. However, you will still need to complete the test course to check the personal protective equipment (PPE) and demonstrate your knowledge of the procedures.

  • What can a person with a disability do at Acropark?
Making the excitement of our aerial courses accessible to everyone is our mission, which is why we have an evaluation procedure that allows us to make the most appropriate decisions on a case-by-case basis. The solutions may include:
    • Indications to use only certain courses.
    • Active assistance from the accompanying person.
    • Active assistance from one of our instructors.
    • More specific procedures with exclusive use of certain parts of the park.
For individuals with severe limitations, it may not be possible to access the aerial courses. For those using a wheelchair, there is a ramp at the park entrance, a relatively flat area in the woods where they can rest and watch others participate in activities.
Dedicated restrooms and benches are available. We recommend visiting on less crowded days. For groups, reservations are required.

A person with a disability who can participate in the activities pays the regular fee, while their accompanying person does not pay.
If the person with a disability and their accompanying person enter the park but do not participate in activities, they do not pay.

  • Where can you park in Roana?
Dear customers, you will find a free paved parking lot in front of the ice rink, on the opposite side of the lake from us. The walking distance is about 300 meters. In front of the Acropark entrance, there is an open area, half of which belongs to Baita al Lago and offers free parking for its customers. The other half is owned by the municipality, which installed parking meters a few years ago. These are the rates: €1 = 1 hour; €3 = 4 hours; €4 = full day. Please note that the meters do not accept debit cards and do not give change. A much larger parking lot is located 200 meters from us, southeast of the lake. It is slightly hidden as it is in an elevated area. This lot can accommodate up to 10 buses comfortably, has shaded areas, and is often used by camper vans. Parking meters are also installed here. Another large parking area is about 300 meters north of the lake. It is currently used for timber operations but is gradually being freed up for tourists. It should be free, but please check to ensure no changes have been made. The flat terrain available to Acropark has been allocated for a shelter with benches, restrooms, and a volleyball court—all for public and free use. Only a few employee cars can park in front of the small brick building.
  • Does the Lido del Laghetto belong to Acropark?

No, Acropark does not manage or sell tickets for access to the Lido.
However, we can provide useful information:
